Study Abroad in the USA

The United States is the biggest study destination for international students. It has a huge number of colleges and universities. These include many of the top 100 universities in the world. The USA offers incredible choices in terms of where you study and what kind of college you attend.

Financial Requirements

It is more expensive to study in America than most other countries. US colleges and universities often charge international students $30,000+ in tuition fees. Visa rules also prevent international students from working off campus.

If you want to study cheaply in the US, your main hope is to win a scholarship. The American education system is generous in terms of offering scholarships to assist students with their studies.

Living costs in America are about average by international standards. Student visas require that you have around $13,000 to cover annual living costs. This is about the same as it costs for on-campus accommodation for a year.

USA Student Visa Procedures

The issuing of US student visas is conducted at US embassies and consulates, which are located in many parts of the world. You need to book a short interview to be issued with a visa. At the interview, you bring along all required documents. These include:

  • ID and enrollment details
  • evidence of funds to cover living costs
  • evidence that you intend to return to your home country after finishing your studies.
